The list of journals for 2026 under the Turkey-Based International Scientific Publications Incentive (UBYT) Program, administered by TÜBİTAK, has been announced. The UBYT 2026 Program Journal List is attached.
Enhancing our researchers’ capacity to produce high-quality publications in internationally indexed journals and strengthening the impact and visibility of Turkey-based international scientific publications are among the primary objectives of the UBYT Program.
In this context, the 2026 UBYT Program Implementation Procedures and Principles have been updated, and detailed information is available on the UBYT website.
Regulations Implemented for the 2026 Year:
Applications may only be submitted from the index year of the publication in the relevant database until the end of the following year (without counting months). Applications submitted outside this specified period will not be considered.
The “TÜBİTAK ARDEB Publication Incentive Multiplier: 1.25” application has been abolished.
A new regulation has been added regarding publications subject to retraction by the journal under the Researcher or Advisor Incentive.
2026 Incentive Scope and Amounts:
In 2026, a total of 11,315 journals have been included in the UBYT Program incentive list.
MEP Score Incentive Amount
MEPa: 0.1 2,700 TL
MEPb: 1.5 41,000 TL
MEPc: 2.0 44,000 TL
MEPd: 3.0 55,000 TL
Other Matters:
No changes have been made to the MEP threshold values.
The minimum grant amount that can be awarded to an author is 1,400 TL.
An author may submit a total of 10 applications in a given publication year, with a maximum of 5 applications for publications with an MEP score below 1.0.
