ISU Library is an institutional member of the Boğaziçi University Technology and Education Laboratory for the Visually Impaired (GETEM) E-Library.
The internet library project designed by the Boğaziçi University Technology and Education Laboratory for the Visually Impaired (GETEM) aims to provide access to information resources for the visually impaired. This project covers not only the visually impaired, but also individuals who, due to other types of disabilities, cannot make unlimited use of printed resources (such as those with paralysis or dyslexia). The publications in the library are predominantly in Turkish and English. In addition to storybooks, novels, and poetry books, the library contains teaching materials (books, articles, lecture notes) used in educational institutions at all levels, recordings of some lectures and conferences, and scientific articles and books. In addition, radio plays, mp3 versions of audio-described films, audio descriptions of computers and smart devices, and many other types of content are included in the GETEM catalog.
To access the GETEM E-Library collection, please contact the Library Information Desks or visit kutuphane@istinye.edu.tr.

The Accessible Library provides visually impaired individuals with access to the audio-recorded course materials they need to continue their education. Textbooks and exam preparation books are the most commonly recorded materials under the project, and recordings of other materials are also produced based on incoming requests.
