Dear İstinye Family,
Under the TÜBİTAK-Wiley 2026-2028 Open Access Agreement, the current status of the open access article quotas allocated for use in Gold and Hybrid journals for the year 2026 is as follows:
Gold journals: The article quota allocated for 2026 has been fully exhausted as of August 12, 2026. Therefore, as previously specified in the agreement criteria, APC support under the agreement will not be provided for articles accepted in Gold journals until the end of the year.
Quotas allocated for Gold and Hybrid journals are tracked separately. Consequently, the availability of a quota for Hybrid journals does not imply that open access support continues for Gold journal
Even if articles have been conditionally accepted or an open access application has been initiated previously for Gold journals, the APCs for such articles cannot be covered under the TÜBİTAK-Wiley Open Access Agreement due to the exhaustion of the 2026 Gold article quota.
Hybrid journals: There is a quota of 189 articles for 2026. Open access support will continue to be provided for articles that meet the agreement’s conditions until the quota is exhausted.
