Announcement | The İstinyeli Okuyor Book Club Held Its Meeting!

As the Directorate of Information Resources and Libraries at İstinye University, we held the July meeting of the “İstinyeli Okuyor Book Club”—which we organize for our academic and administrative staff—at the Central Library.

At the meeting on July 31, Gabriel García Márquez’s classic work *No Letter for the Colonel* was discussed in detail. Valuable opinions and evaluations regarding the book from club members who were unable to attend the meeting in person due to the university’s busy orientation period and work commitments were also read aloud and shared during the session.

We would like to thank all participants for an intellectual and enjoyable discussion, made possible by the contributions of our valued staff members from various departments.

As a result of the vote held at the end of the meeting, participants unanimously selected Albert Camus’s *The Stranger*, one of the pioneering works of existentialist literature, as next month’s reading selection.

The date, time, and details of our next meeting will be shared through our library’s announcement channels. Our book club is open to all academic and administrative staff, and we invite all employees who wish to join us in the coming term.
