Dear İstinye University Community,
International Open Access Week, celebrated simultaneously around the world each year, will take place this year from October 19–25, 2026, under the main theme “The Cost of Knowledge.”
While scientific research is funded by public and academic resources, the fact that access to publications is often restricted by high subscription fees or other barriers creates inequality in access to knowledge. As the İstinye University Library, we advocate for fair, transparent, free, and sustainable access to scientific knowledge and continue to share the academic legacy produced at our university with the entire world.

Research, articles, theses, conference papers, and projects conducted at our university are indexed in accordance with international standards and preserved for the long term in the ISU Institutional Open Archive.
