The ISU Library has launched its subscription to EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS), an enhanced discovery tool with new features designed to provide a modern and interactive research experience.
You can access the entire ISU Library collection through a single search box.
What Can You Expect with the New Discovery Tool?
• Google-Like Single Search Experience: Search the library's entire databases, catalog, and open access resources at once.
• Concept Map: Visualize your searches! Deepen your research and discover new connections by viewing the relationships between topics on a network map.
• Personalized Dashboard: Save articles you like, organize your searches, and create projects. Access everything you save from all your devices.
• Research Starters: Get instant access to summaries and key resources to quickly learn about popular topics.
• Advanced Multimedia Support: With the 2026 updates, you can now access video, audio, and image collections much more easily and view them directly in your results list.
• Mobile Compatibility: Continue your research on your phone via the EBSCO Mobile app after starting it on your computer.
How to Use
1. Go to the ISU Library Website: https://kutuphane.istinye.edu.tr/adresindeki Start your research in the Search All Sources box!
2. Use Filters: Use the filters on the panel to see only “Full Text,” “Peer-Reviewed,” or results within a specific date range.
3. Log In: Don't forget to create your personal account with your institutional email address to get the most out of the “My Control Panel” feature.
Note: To access from outside the campus, simply log in with your institutional email address and password using the Off-Campus Access Method – OpenAthens.
