The 2026 quota for the Open Access (OA) agreement between TÜBİTAK and Springer Nature, covering the 2024-2026 period, has been officially launched for its final year.
Advantages of the Agreement: Researchers affiliated with Istinye University can publish their articles as "Open Access" in selected Springer Nature hybrid journals without paying any Article Processing Charge (APC).
Implementation Principles:
Quota Management: The national quota for 2026 is set at 3,094 articles, available to all universities in Türkiye. There is no specific quota allocation per institution.
- Approval Process: Upon the request of the corresponding author whose article has been accepted, approval is granted by ULAKBİM on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Expediting the Process: Using institutional e-mail addresses with the @istinye.edu.tr extension during the application process significantly speeds up the approval workflow.
